There are a great many local attractions that will add to the enjoyment of your stay at Foxwood Resort. We have listed several of these for you below and have provided links to their web sites.
Algonquin Park is Ontario's world-famous wilderness provincial park. The west gate of Algonquin Park is only about a 20 minute drive from Foxwood.

 The Dorset Tower is a former fire tower, once operated by the Ministry of Natural Resources. From the tower you can enjoy spectacular views of the Lake of Bays, Dorset and surrounding area.
The Village of Dwight is the closest village to Foxwood, a 10 minute drive or 20 minutes by boat. Here you find the closest grocery shopping and restaurants.

 The lovely Village of Dorset is 20 minutes by boat from Foxwood and 15 minutes by car. Dorset is home to Canada's #1 voted general store, Robinson's
The Town of Huntsville is the largest nearby Municipality. Huntsville is 25 minutes by car from Foxwood.

 When visiting Foxwood, you may want your pets to vacation at nearby Camp Happy Tails or Four Paws Inn (705.789.8302).  We regret that pets are not allowed at Foxwood.
There are at least 6 golf courses within a 30 minute drive of Foxwood and another 10 within a one hour drive. Bigwin Island golf course is 5 minutes away by water taxi. The closest public course to Huntsville is Huntsville Downs.
