The Lake of Bays provides good fishing for both the casual and the serious sports fisherman. The major species of fish in the lake are:
  • smallmouth black bass
  • largemouth black bass
  • rock bass
  • lake trout
  • whitefish

All species of bass can be caught from our dock or from the shore. Fishing from a boat just offshore also produces good catches of bass up to 5+ lbs. To be successful with lake trout requires fishing the deeper waters of the lake from a boat equipped with downriggers. The whitefish are normally caught only in the winter through the ice.
